1. Confirm the service requirements
Ask the funeral provider or venue how the tribute will be played, which video format they prefer, how the file should be supplied and when the final version is due.
2. Collect the photographs in one place
Gather photographs from family and friends before you finalise the sequence so you can see the full story rather than arranging the slideshow around whichever images arrived first.
3. Choose the strongest photographs
Remove obvious duplicates and keep photographs that represent important relationships, life stages, personality, places and experiences.
4. Decide on the story order
Chronological order works well for many tributes, but chapters such as family, friends, travel, work and passions can be equally effective when they better reflect the person.
5. Review, export and test the final video
